Mary Finch's 'snazzy' wedding fascinator!

I was a lucky girl to receive the job of making Mary Finch's wedding fascinator! I was given a list of lots of bright colours to use, which is right up my alley, and a date it had to be ready for.

This is what I made for her, which she described as 'snazzy!' I think Mary Finch is the only person in the world who still uses the word the word snazzy, and that is why she is so awesome!

Happy marriage Miss Mary, I'm so happy you liked your fascinator!!!

I thought this year I might sport an easter bonnet, so I made this one!

Poppy Fascinator

This was originally meant to be a small every day fascinator. Some how it escalated into a big red poppy! I'll have to wait for a special occasion to bust out this one! This is a completely hand made and hand painted silk flower, with silk and velvet ribbon trims and olive green feathers.

Halloween Fascinator

Having somehow lost most of the essential components for my Halloween outfit this year, I was left with only one solution to the dress up dilemma. A plastic skull and 50p 'graveyard pack' from asda! Add some fake spiders with fake web and some trimmings with a glue gun, and this is what you get! Who's ready for the dead wedding then?!

Handmade Heaven Fair - Dundee

For the last few days I have been willingly locked in my room making these. Mini fascinators made from fair trade Indian sari silk, hand dyed sinamay and, of course, feathers! They will be on sale at the 'Handmade Heaven' fair this Thursday 19th November 2009, in The Hannah Maclure Centre, Dundee, from 12pm - 6pm. There will be other folks selling there handmade wares, so remember to bring your money! Early Xmas shopping perhaps!
